Janice Haddon is Chair and one of the Trustees for Angels.

Angels is a charity set up to help alleviate poverty and disease amongst the world's poorest children through the sound of music.

The vision is to help alleviate the suffering of vulnerable and disadvantaged children worldwide by encouraging and developing the children's own musical and performing talents, so that they may help others less fortunate in their own community.

Angels deliver extraordinarily beautiful and inspiring musical performances with sell-out tours from Angels Nigeria in 2007 and subsequent sell out 2008 tour from Angels South Africa and Angels Rwanda in 2010, helping to showcase their countries traditions through their amazingly positive vibrant performances.

Following the three very successful tours with children from Nigeria, South Africa and Rwanda, this year Angels welcomed 14 children from the Kuwinda slum, Nairobi for their debut UK tour. The sell-out tour included a mixture of performances and workshops at venues and schools across southern and south eastern England, including some collaborative performances with UK children.

Angels encourages hope and vision in children from disadvantaged villages worldwide. Their inspirational musical and dance performances captivate and transfix audiences with messages of hope and inspiration. Their work enables them to help others less fortunate by raising much needed funds from their tours - enhancing the children's impoverished communities with relief, development and protection programmes.
Janice completed the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu in November 2014, to raise money to help the children through Angels.  You can see her blog on, on the Angels website and can still support and sponsor Janice on her charity page through
